Its business activities are organized around its two business segments: Flexible Packaging and Pressure Sensitive Materials. Its products are sold to customers primarily in the food industry. Other customers include companies in various types of businesses, which include chemical, agribusiness, medical, pharmaceutical, personal care, construction, graphic industries, and other consumer goods. On June 3, 2009, Bemis acquired the South American rigid packaging operations of Huhtamaki Oyj, a global manufacturer of consumer and specialty packaging.
